Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 2026

Screenchi (“the app”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a personal screen-time habit tracker published by Kasun Alahakoon. This policy explains what the app does and does not collect.

The short version

Screenchi is private by design. The app you track, how much you use it, and your streaks stay on your device. We never learn the name of the app you track — Apple keeps that private from us. The only information that leaves your device is what’s needed to process a purchase.

What stays on your device (and never leaves it)

Deleting the app removes this on-device data.

What we collect — purchases only

Screenchi offers optional paid subscriptions and a one-time “lifetime” purchase. To provide and restore these, we use:

For this, RevenueCat assigns your install an anonymous identifier (for example, $RCAnonymousID:…) and processes purchase-related information such as your transaction and subscription status, along with standard technical details (device model, OS version, and the country/region derived from your request) used for receipt validation and aggregate analytics. We do not create an account for you, and this information is not linked to your name, email, or real-world identity.

What we do not do

Feedback you send us

If you use the in-app “Send Feedback” option, your mail app opens a message addressed to kasunala@gmail.com that you can choose to send. To help us respond, it pre-fills basic technical details (your iOS version, device model, the app version, and your anonymous RevenueCat identifier). Sending is entirely your choice, and you can edit or delete any of that before sending.

Data retention

On-device data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained under their respective policies for as long as needed to provide subscription functionality and to meet legal and accounting obligations.

Your rights

Because Screenchi holds no personal profile about you, most data is under your direct control — uninstalling removes on-device data. Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of personal information. To make a request about purchase data associated with your anonymous identifier, contact us at kasunala@gmail.com; because purchases are anonymous, we may need the identifier shown in the app to locate the relevant records.

Children

Screenchi is a general-audience wellbeing tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International transfers

Apple and RevenueCat may process the limited purchase-related information described above on servers in the United States or other countries.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
