Terms of Service

Effective date: August 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Screenchi app (“the app”) provided by Kasun Alahakoon (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services / App Store terms and these Terms.

2. The service

Screenchi helps you set a daily usage limit for an app you choose and build a streak for staying under it, using Apple’s Screen Time frameworks on your device. Screenchi is a wellbeing and self-improvement tool — it is not medical, psychological, or professional advice, and it does not guarantee any particular outcome.

3. Subscriptions and purchases

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, resell, or misuse the app, or use it in violation of applicable law.

5. Intellectual property

The app, its design, and its content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. These Terms grant you no ownership rights.

6. Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that Screen Time measurements are exact.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app.

8. Third-party services

The app relies on Apple (App Store, StoreKit, Screen Time) and RevenueCat (subscription management). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

9. Apple-specific terms

These Terms are between you and Kasun Alahakoon only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Any custom end user terms must, at minimum, meet Apple’s requirements for a developer EULA.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes take effect when posted here with a new effective date.
